“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”
Nelson Mandela
Our secondary curriculum challenges students both personally and academically, encouraging them to be ambitious, think critically, and become leaders. Exceptional learning experiences – both in and outside of the classroom – broaden our students’ horizons, while an outstanding choice of IGCSE options enables our students to follow their passions and talents.
Years 10 and 11 (IGCSE)
In Years 10 and 11, our students study for their IGCSE exams. We offer a breadth of subject choices and outstanding learning opportunities, so every child can do what they love and embark upon new challenges. Alongside compulsory English, maths, and science, your child will specialise in subjects that reflect their interests, strengths, and aspirations. Options include history, geography, ICT, modern foreign languages, music, drama, art, PE, and business studies. Each student takes 8-10 subjects, depending on their learning preferences.
Our IGCSE program at the British School of Vilnius is a rigorous qualification that requires students to think critically, solve problems, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations. This helps students develop the skills and knowledge essential for success in higher education and beyond. Many of our subjects have international elements and content, ensuring topics are relevant to international students.
IGCSE Booklet
Choosing your options for IGCSE is an important stage in your educational journey.
The information you will find documented in the booklet below will help to start making decisions about your learning and to choose subjects that suit your aspirations, skills, and needs.
The purpose of this booklet is to inform our students and their parents about the Key Stage 4 curriculum offered at The British School of Vilnius. We hope that you will find this document useful to help support the work we do and in helping us to ensure your child is achieving their potential.
