STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER

Edita Harrison

“I FOSTER CREATIVITY WITH THE CLASS AND I ENCOURAGE ALL STUDENTS TO DISCOVER THEIR OWN CREATIVE OUTLETS.”

I have always been interested in languages so after completing my BA in English and Russian, I decided to continue my studies which resulted in obtaining an MA in Linguistics from UCL. After working in a few different sectors, I started volunteering at a small primary school in London which led to me working there as a TA supporting students with special educational needs. Following this, in 2011, I completed a PGCE Primary course at Middlesex University and I have been teaching ever since.

In my 13 years of teaching, I have experienced state, private and international schools in the UK, Slovakia, China and Lithuania. This has enabled me to enjoy many exciting adventures, meet a variety of interesting, inspiring people and develop as a person and as an educator.

I enjoy teaching and learning together with my students and believe that successful education should be based on mutual respect. In addition, I strive to promote the open-mindedness and tolerance that we so need in our global world.

About Mrs Harrison

In my free time, I have a very wide range of hobbies such as hiking, off-road biking, sewing, attending concerts and reading (to name just a few). Since moving to Lithuania, I have been spending a lot of time gardening and using power tools in all sorts of DIY projects. I try to share these interests with my own daughters and my students and inspire them to develop their own passions, and find what gives them joy in life.
