STAFF PROFILE - HEADTEACHER

Andrew Prosser

“A PASSIONATE SCHOOL LEADER WITH A DRIVE TO DEVELOP OUTSTANDING SCHOOLS”

As the founding Headmaster of The British School of Vilnius, I have seen it go from strength to strength. Our community is growing and we have many exciting developments in store. We have made some strong links with the local community, carried out charity projects and have grown and developed the school campus.

Originally from the United Kingdom, my career has spanned over 20 years with the majority of my experience in international schools in the Middle East. During my time in Dubai, I was the Founding Headteacher of Safa Community School and the Founding Principal of Dubai Heights Academy. The two schools have grown and developed great reputations since they opened.

My greatest strength is my enthusiasm for ensuring each and every child receives an outstanding education. This drive comes from the desire to see every child enter their adult life with the skills, knowledge and values to make a difference in our global society.

The school’s mission to be a ‘World Leading School’ is in line with my own aspirations to give all children the greatest education we can. I thoroughly enjoy working with the BSV community to ensure that every child realises their full potential, finds their passions and works to their full potential. It is the success of every child in this school that makes my job as Headmaster such a rewarding one.

About Mr Prosser

I moved to Vilnius with my wife, Angie Rambocus, in 2019 and we have recently had a little boy. We have enjoyed exploring everything this beautiful city has to offer. When I am not at work or spending time with my family I like heading out on my bike and exploring the trails around Vilnius. I am a keen sportsman and enjoy playing golf, rugby, football, squash, going snowboarding and taking part in fitness challenges with the school staff.
