STAFF PROFILE - PE TEACHER

Michelle Heron

“I MAKE SPORT FUN AND EXCITING, GIVING ALL STUDENTS POSITIVE SPORTING EXPERIENCES.”

I am from North Shields, in the North East of England. I have been teaching internationally for 6 years and am currently in Guangzhou, China at the British School of Guangzhou. I teach whole school PE and I am also Head of Year 9.

I cannot wait to move to Vilnius and explore Lithuania with my dog Rollo. I am particularly looking forward to all of the outdoor activities that are on offer. I am excited to try Lithuanian food and meet new people.

I am looking forward to making PE and sport fun and exciting for all students at BSV. I want to give my students as many positive sporting experiences as possible. I hope to immerse myself in the school community and build great relationships with my students and colleagues.

About Ms Heron

My hobbies and interests stem from my love of sport. Recently, I have embraced Crossfit, where I love being part of a community that encourages each other to try something new, make progress, set new goals, and achieve new personal records. I also love hiking with my dog Rollo, outdoor adventures and playing hockey and football. I will usually try most sports.

Travel is also a huge passion of mine, it has given me opportunities to challenge myself both mentally and physically and learn new skills. I have learnt to surf, ski and have completed a variety of hiking challenges that have pushed me out of my comfort zone. My favourite being the Inca Trail in Peru.
