STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER

Jessica Miller

“ENSURING ALL CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.”

I have been teaching for 13 years in a variety of schools both in the UK and internationally, with experience teaching from Nursery to Year 4. I gained a BA (QTS) in Primary Education with a specialism in Early Years from The University of Winchester. Before moving to Lithuania, I worked in Germany for a Ministry of Defence First school and Poland, at a British International Primary School, this means I have an in-depth understanding of what it is like for children to experience schooling in a variety of countries.

I am always keen to find ways to improve my teaching and knowledge to aid children, making sure their learning experience is motivating, exciting and dynamic. I believe education is about the whole child, not just what they learn in the classroom and that I have an important role to help guide these young children to be great global citizens. I have a real passion for enabling all children to have access to the support they need to reach their full potential which is why I recently completed a Diploma in Understanding Dyslexia.

About Jessica

Away from the classroom I am an avid reader and can usually be found hidden behind a good book, this is a passion I love to share with the children and adults, having run a book group for the past 2 years in Warsaw, Poland for the ex-pat community.  I'm a big believer that you never stop learning so I continue to study in my spare time around subjects that interest me such as History and Education.

I have a small zoo...two cats called Willow and Luna and a dog called Molly who all keep me very busy. I love to travel and explore new cities and countries and Molly usually comes along for the ride, she is one well-travelled pooch!
